Transpoint Intermodal, LLC is opening a rail fed container terminal in Fort Wayne, Indiana to serve the needs of import and export customers in our target region. Our partner in the international supply route is the CF&E railway, which operates an efficient service to and from Chicago to expedite container commerce, to and from the Far East, primarily through the new container port in Prince Rupert, BC.
Transpoint’s logistical advantage is that we move containers originating in the Far East and bound for the greater Fort Wayne market past the traditional Chicago rail yards, resulting in time and dollar savings for our import customers. The same benefits apply to exporters.
Transpoint is developing an intermodal park to provide even more customer benefit from this rail service.
